Troubleshooting

Use this page when installation, sign-in, or a collection task does not proceed. Each item states the message you see and the action that clears it.

Developer Mode warning

Chrome reminds you that Developer Mode is on whenever the browser starts. Dismiss it. LeadsMap is loaded from a local folder, so Developer Mode has to stay on. Turning it off disables the extension. The steps are in Installation.

The extension shows an error after Load unpacked

You selected a folder that does not contain manifest.json directly, or you selected the zip file. Remove the broken entry on chrome://extensions, unzip the package again, and load the LeadsMap_Crx folder.

Open a Google Maps tab first

Home says Not on Google Maps, or the task reports Open a Google Maps search first. The focused tab is not a Google Maps page. Click Open Google Maps, or switch to the Maps tab, then refresh the Home card.

Search on the map before collecting

Home says Enter a search, or the task reports Search on the map before collecting. Maps is open, but the page is not a search results list. Type a keyword and place, wait until the result list appears, then click Collect this page again.

Reload the Maps tab, then try again

The message is Reload the Maps tab, then try again. The Maps page was not ready to report its search. Reload that tab, wait until the results are visible, and start the task again.

Sign in first

Sign in required or Sign in first means the account session is missing. Open the popup and click Log In with Google. See Sign in.

Finish or pause the current task first

Only one collection task runs at a time. Open Tasks, pause or continue the active task until it is finished or paused, then start the new one.

Campaign limit reached

The Free plan stores 100 campaigns. Pick an existing campaign in Target Campaign instead of creating a new name, or upgrade to PRO. See Plans and limits.

A search times out or returns too little

  1. Open Collection settings.
  2. Increase Search Timeout toward 180 seconds if the Maps page is slow.
  3. Increase Retries if you want the same search reloaded after a timeout. The maximum is 6.
  4. Turn on Accept Partial Results if you want the leads already found to be saved when retries run out.
  5. If the page is one business rather than a list, the task saves nothing for that search. Change the keyword so Google Maps returns a list.

Export says the daily limit is reached

The Free plan exports 500 leads per day from the current page or the selection. Wait until midnight, export fewer rows, or upgrade to PRO for a full-campaign export with no daily cap. See Export.

Install a newer package

If the popup says this version is no longer supported, use Download Latest Version when it is shown, then follow Installation to replace the loaded folder. Your campaigns remain on the account.

Still blocked

Email extensionkit@gmail.com with the message on screen, the Chrome version, and whether the task was Collect this page or Batch Collect.
